1、 The 1000 series represents 1050 1060 1070 1000 series aluminum plates, also known as pure aluminum plates. Among all series, the 1000 series belongs to the series with the highest aluminum content. The purity can reach over 99.00%. Due to the absence of other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap, making it the most commonly used series in conventional industries. Currently, the majority of products in circulation on the market are the 1050 and 1060 series. The minimum aluminum content of the 1000 series aluminum plate is determined based on the last two Arabic numerals. For example, the last two Arabic numerals of the 1050 series are 50. According to international brand naming principles, the aluminum content must reach 99.5% or above as a qualified product. The aluminum alloy technical standard in China (GB/T3880-2006) also clearly stipulates that the aluminum content of 1050 should reach 99.5%. Similarly, the aluminum content of 1060 series aluminum plates must reach above 99.6%.

2、 The 2000 series aluminum plate represents 2A16 (LY16), 2A12 (LY12), 2A06 (LY6). The characteristic of the 2000 series aluminum plate is its high hardness, with the highest copper element content, approximately 3-5%. The 2000 series aluminum plates belong to aviation aluminum materials and are currently not commonly used in conventional industries. There are currently few manufacturers in China that produce 2000 series aluminum plates. The quality cannot be compared with foreign countries. Currently, the imported aluminum plates are mainly provided by Korean and German production enterprises. With the development of China's aerospace industry, the production technology of 2000 series aluminum plates will be further improved.

3、 The 3000 series aluminum plate mainly represents 3003, 3003, 3A21. Also known as anti rust aluminum plate, China's 3000 series aluminum plate production process is relatively excellent. The 3000 series aluminum plate is mainly composed of manganese element. The content ranges from 1.0 to 1.5. It is a series with good rust prevention function. Commonly used in humid environments such as air conditioning, refrigerators, and car bottoms, with a price higher than the 1000 series, it is a commonly used alloy series.

4、 The 4000 series aluminum plate represents the 4A01 4000 series aluminum plate, which belongs to the series with higher silicon content. Typically, the silicon content ranges from 4.5 to 6.0%. It is also widely used in conventional industries. The processing process is continuous casting and rolling, which belongs to the hot-rolled aluminum plate series and can be used for oxidation deep processing. The 5000 series aluminum plate is one of the more mature aluminum plate series in China.

6、 The 6000 series represents 6061, which mainly contains two elements: magnesium and silicon. Therefore, it combines the advantages of the 4000 series and the 5000 series. 6061 is a cold treated aluminum forging product suitable for applications with high requirements for corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Good usability, excellent interface characteristics, easy coating, and good processability. Can be used on low-pressure weapons and aircraft joints.

7、 The 7000 series represents 7075, which mainly contains zinc. It also belongs to the aviation series and is an aluminum magnesium zinc copper alloy that can be heat treated. It is a superhard aluminum alloy with good wear resistance. The 7075 aluminum plate is stress relieved and will not deform or warp after processing. All ultra large and ultra thick 7075 aluminum plates are detected by ultrasonic waves, ensuring no sand holes or impurities. The high thermal conductivity of the 7075 aluminum plate can shorten the forming time and improve work efficiency. The main feature is that the hardness of 7075 is high, and it is a high-strength aluminum alloy commonly used in the manufacturing of aircraft structures and futures. It requires high stress structural components and mold manufacturing with high strength and strong corrosion resistance. At present, China relies mainly on imports, and its production processes still need to be improved. (Our company once had a foreign company that proposed uneven annealing of domestically produced 7075 aluminum plates, resulting in inconsistent surface and internal hardness of the aluminum plates.)

8、 The commonly used 8000 series is the 8011, which belongs to other series. In my memory, the main function of aluminum plates is to make bottle caps, which are also used in radiators, with most of the applications being aluminum foil. Not very commonly used.

9、 The 9000 series belongs to the backup series, and technology is now so advanced. In order to cope with the emergence of aluminum plates containing other alloy elements, the International Aluminum Plate and Strip Federation specifically states that the 9000 series is a backup series, waiting for another new variety to appear to fill the gap in the 9000 series.
